Set consisting of two armchairs and four chairs from the mid 19th century. Made in Germany in the style known as 'Alt Deutsch'.
They are made of solid oak wood, very resistant and finely carved. The upper part of a chair is detached. but can be easily restored, as you can see in photo no. 4, as the cut is clean and very easy to repair. The upper pair of another chair is slightly loose. It was fixed in the late 19th century with a nail. The fabric is of great value: it was bought in 2002 at 'Giorgi e Febbi', a precious fabrics shop opened since the end of the 18th century and unfortunately closed in 2012. The set has been entirely restored and newly upholstered with the precious fabric. One of the armchairs has a stain in the fabric and can easily be cleaned with a specific product. Great elegance and excellent quality, comfortable seat of 45x 45. The seat is 45 cm from the floor for the chairs, and each chair has a height of 100 cm.
In excellent overall condition after being re-padded.
