A Flemish Renaissance oak cupboard. Creation period - first half 17th century. The moulded and leaf-carved cornice centred on a foliate-incised label over a recessed compartment with three patera-carved panelled doors within balusters, the base with a gadrooned two-drawer cushion frieze above a pair of panelled doors carved with cartouches and separated by pilasters carved with terms and foliage. A strong Low Countries mannerist design reminiscent of the traditional Dutch "beeldenkast". Nice patina of oak in honey colour. Minor additions and repairs. The upper right door is latched, no key. Height 175 cm, Width 68 cm cm, Length 150 cm.
