Stunning Art Deco group figurine of a Dancing Couple, the biggest size ever made, one of the Top 10 Collectors items, in magnificent colours.
The Dancing Couple are matching together in a very elegant and artistic dance, the man supporting the lady’s movements while almost floating. Her elegant long dress is largely spread in butterfly style, coloured in peony pink colour with flowers on base, while assorted hight heels shoes complete the outfit. Her partner is wearing black trousers and shoes completed by a white shirt and pink tie. The figurine group is based on oval domed socle.
Model was made in 1930 by Hertwig & Co. porcelain manufactory and is stamped on the back of the base with Katzhutte green stamp mark including a cat's symbol with letter 'H', enclosed by a roof and A97 number.
The statue has no missing parts, all pointy parts are perfect, however it has, most probably, a repair on the neck of the women and 2-3 very fine cracks on the base, none of it affecting the beauty of the piece, showed in pictures, as they are part of description.
In one of the pictures, the statue is presented with a smaller one, which is NOT FOR SALE, but FOR PRESENTATION ONLY. Do not expect to receive 2 statues as only the big one is for sale.
