Interesting late sixteenth-century Venetian edition of the famous treatise by Guglielmo Redoano, distinguished canonist born in Vernazza (La Spezia) in the sixteenth century and died in 1573. He was a very experienced jurist and not a mediocre poet, for his merits he became Councillor of Niccolò del Fiesco, bishop of Savona, and of other important prelates. Pope Gregory XIII named him Bishop of Nebbio (episcopal town of southern Corsica of great strategic importance). Book with bookplate of A.Weber (famous bibliographer). Small folio, LXXVI-463 pp., full coeval Dutch ivory parchment, slight browning and some marginal stains.
